Instacart Set Up
Follow the instructions below to set up your account
Step 1: Create an account
Signing up for an account is free, you don’t even have to put payment information in until you checkout.
- Click the sign up button
- Enter your email address
- Enter the confirmation code from Instacart sends to your email
- Enter your delivery address
Step 2: Activate your family account
This is how we are able to pay for your groceries securely without having to share payment of account credentials.
- Click the Account menu
- Click the Start a family account link. If you have an existing account, click the Manage Family Account link
- Click the green Invite Now button
- Click the Copy Link button at the top right
Step 3: Fill out your application form
Head over the Apply for Assistance link in the main menu.
- Upload a picture of your proof of need documents
- Paste the link you got in step 2 in the Instacart share link field
- If you have any problems uploading your files, you can also send them to [email protected]
Step 4: Fill your cart
Add SNAP approved items to your cart, no alcohol or tabacco products.
- Pick your grocery store
- Add the items you need to your cart
- Make sure you are in a family cart. You can see this by clicking on the green cart button at the top right. It will either say personal cart or family cart
Step 5: Confirm access
When you receive your application approval email, check to confirm we have access to your account.
- Click the Account menu
- Click the Manage Family Account link
- Look for the Findagrocerybuddy.com user. The name will be Buddy- followed by a 12-digit number
- You are all set!
