We facilitate voluntary grocery purchases through secure payment processing and order fulfillment.

We are not a government agency, food distributor, or charity, and we do not sell, trade, or exchange SNAP or any other federal assistance benefits.

All orders are voluntarily funded by donors and fulfilled by our internal team using the Instacart platform.

  1. No Government Affiliation

Find a Grocery Buddy is not affiliated with any federal, state, or local government program, including but not limited to:

  • The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • WIC or other federal food benefit programs

We do not claim endorsement by or association with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), state welfare agencies, or any government authority.

All assistance provided through this site is private, voluntary, and separate from government benefits.

  1. Nature of Service

Our service enables donors to fund verified grocery orders for individuals in need.
Here’s what we do:

  • Verify recipient eligibility and need
  • Process donor payments securely through PayPal
  • Place grocery orders directly through Instacart
  • Share confirmation and proof of delivery with donors

We do not:

  • Provide direct financial assistance or cash equivalents
  • Offer tax-deductible receipts (as we are not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit)
  • Guarantee the delivery timelines or item availability within Instacart’s platform

  1. Voluntary Participation

Participation on both sides of the program — as a Recipient or Donor — is entirely voluntary.
All payments made through this site are voluntary purchases intended to fund grocery deliveries, not charitable donations or investments.

Donors acknowledge that they are not purchasing goods or services for themselves and that all payments are final once an order has been placed.

  1. Accuracy of Information

We take great care to verify recipient applications and order information.
However, we cannot guarantee that:

  • All uploaded documents are free of error or misrepresentation
  • All grocery items listed in Instacart carts are available or in stock at the time of order

We reserve the right to modify or cancel an order if verification issues arise or if Instacart fulfillment becomes impossible.

  1. Limitation of Liability

By using this site, you agree that Find a Grocery Buddy, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Errors, delays, or cancellations by third parties (including Instacart or PayPal)
  • Lost, substituted, or unavailable grocery items
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

  1. No Guarantee of Outcomes

While we verify and process all orders in good faith, we cannot guarantee that:

  • A donor will select or fund a specific recipient
  • Every approved application will receive assistance immediately
  • All deliveries will arrive on the expected date or contain every listed item

We operate on a best-effort basis to ensure every verified order is fulfilled promptly and accurately.

  1. Intellectual Property Notice

All materials on findagrocerybuddy.com, including text, graphics, logos, icons, and layout, are the intellectual property of Find a Grocery Buddy and protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws.
Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited without written permission.

  1. Third-Party Platforms

We utilize third-party platforms to complete our services:

  • PayPal for payment processing
  • Instacart for grocery fulfillment

Your use of these platforms is subject to their respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policies.
We are not responsible for actions, errors, or outages related to those third parties.
